With the stress of midterms diminishing and the beautiful spring days back for a little while, we have some great opportunities to get out, have fun, and enjoy our incredible school!
With a Jazz Ensemble Concert that is bound to have you snapping your fingers, an opportunity to learn the dirt on dirt (pun intended), an incredible performance by the University Center of the Arts, and a Think Tank with a buffet and some great breakout sessions, their are plenty of things to do at CSU this week!
Think Tank: Free Speech Summit

Freedom, it’s something we all have, but something most of us take for granted. It’s something that not many of us think about, learn about, or get to express our opinions about. With the Think Tank: Free Speech Summit we have an incredible opportunity to change this.
This incredible full day summit presented by the Office of the Vice President of Diversity, a group that promotes creating a community at CSU where all members feel welcomed, valued, and affirmed, you have the opportunity to dig deep into the impacts of hate speeches, how they support impacted students and so much more.

Jazz Ensembles Concert: With Fossil Ridge High School Jazz Band

CSU Jazz Ensembles I and II are joined by Fossil Ridge High School’s Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dan Berard, for the annual High School Invitational Concert. All groups feature outstanding student performers and improvisers playing exciting and swinging arrangements for the last big band concert of the year!

School of Global Environmental Sustainability Science Seminar w/ Elizabeth Bach

Get learnt on dirt! Elizabeth Bach Executive Director of the Global Soil Biodiversity Initiative is coming to speak about soil diversity and health related to sustainability and ecosystems. It’s a win-win no matter what because even if you’re less than impressed by the dirt gossip there will be refreshments served at the end of the 45 min presentation.

Student Chamber Music Showcase

Join us at Colorado’s beautiful University Center of the Arts for a night of ambient music that’s bound to have you engulfed in a mixture of brass, wood, and string instruments! For this special program their will be selected chamber music groups from all areas of the University Center of the Arts performing this special program.
