Our Story

Marketing Association is a student organization at CSU for business majors and all those interested in marketing to gather together and discuss market trends and new opportunities in the marketing field.

Marketing Association was created to help students create a foundation of marketing skills and allow students to interact with their peers and marketing professionals.

Bi-Weekly Meetings

Meetings are currently held every other Wednesday from 5 to 6:30 pm in Rockwell West Room 207.

These meetings consist of working on various club projects, discussing new internship and job opportunities, having a guest speaker, or discussing important topics going on in marketing today.

MA President

Spring 2024

Since Fall 2024, our club president has been Abraham Mapatano, a second-year student double majoring in Economics and Management Innovation.

His goal has been to enhance MA’s benefits and make members aware of the vast opportunities marketing offers.

Abraham is accompanied by a great executive team that provides engaging and memorable meetings for members as well as provides many growth opportunities.

Goals for CSU MA Members

Marketing Association is a fun, intriguing, and inviting club where students who are interested in marketing can form a community and build new skills! The four main skills we hope Marketing Association provides for our members are skill development, hands-on experience, networking opportunities, and career support.

Skill Development

Through MA our members can build their marketing skills to help them excel in future classes, clubs, internships, and jobs! During every meeting our members are using teamwork skills, idea generation, digital marketing and social media marketing skills, and networking with other students and groups on campus.

Hands-On Experience

Our members are constantly working together to create new ideas, generate new logos, and update and improve websites and social media platforms.

In the fall semester of 2024, MA helped the CSU Baja Racing Team to improve their social media platforms, update their logo, and update the overall outlook of their club. This has helped their club expand and have a new and improved social media presence.

Networking Opportunities

Marketing Association works with many different companies, people, and other clubs to help make networking easier for our members.

In the fall, MA worked with TTI on a project to create a mockup of a new product for their company. MA welcomed Lindsay Neff to speak at one of our meetings about product design and marketing in blue-collar fields. And finally, we worked with the CSU Baja Racing Team which helped us make great connections within their club!

Career Support

Marketing Association has an amazing executive board, sponsors, and connections to help our members get the career support they need. We have also has helped many members find part-time jobs and internship opportunities to help explore different career paths.
